The realisation of this project took me to my finan- cial limits – if not a bit beyond. It cost me several sleep-less nights to answer the question whether it really is my duty to dive into such an adventure. Many who I asked declined their help, not wanting to be associated with research that would take such a firm stand on this issue. There are of course institu- tions whose focus should be to establish statutes
that state what false riding causes – but they don’t do it! Why?

Maybe some functionaries would have to admit that they and the sporting environment they represent do exactly what the film denounces – to admit that when it comes to the crunch earning money is more important than giving a horse the respect, the feelings and the time it deserves. Who is it that actually wants to win? The man or the horse? Who is so proud of all the trophies? The man or the horse? Who is using who to make it to the top? Many, many questions with many unpleasant answers….I will not stop sowing seeds for the good of these wonderful animals, even if the harvest should come after my death. Why Not?
